Your graphics card is pretty outdated, and yeah you need about a gig or so more of ram. But other than that it might just be clogged up with garbage. Computers get that way after you’ve installed and uninstalled a lot of stuff over time. The only way to remedy THAT is with a good old-fashioned formatting.

Dump Norton 360. It slows computers. You will need to download and run the Norton 360 Removal Tool from Symantec on line Support. Nothing else gets rid of Norton stuff completely. Then run your Registry Cleaner and CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/).

Clean out the OEM software you don’t want with PC Decrapifier (http://pcdecrapifier.com/download). Replace Norton 360 with AVG Anti-Virus and AVG Anti-Spyware Free Editions (http://free.grisoft.com), and use the Zone Alarm Free Firewall (http://www.filehippo.com/download_zonealarm_free/). (Don’t try to download Zone Alarm Free from the company web site — it is impossible to find there.) Defragment using the Windows Defragmenter (Disk Tools). Use your other spyware remover alongside of AVG Free. They won’t conflict.

Here are some simple tips to help you avoid and combat intruders, viruses and spyware on your PC. Nothing is 100%, but these will go a long way toward keeping your computing experience enjoyable.

Never open email attachments unless you know the sender, expected the attachment, and know what the attachment is before opening

Use a GOOD anti-virus program, have it active at all times, and keep the definitions up to date (if it has an auto-updater, use it)

Use a firewall (software or hardware - doesn’t matter - just use one!) Even if you have a router use a good software firewall as well such as Sygate

If using a router be sure to change the defualt password, if using a wireless router you should also not allow remote logins to your router, enable WEP, disable SSID and enable MAC address cloning

Use AdAware and Spybot as scanning programs on a regular basis. You must use both - one will often miss items the other will catch. Neither is better than the other - just different.

Download and use both SpywareBlaster and SpywareGuard from javacool. SB is a passive utility that will innoculate the registry and prevent spyware entries from being installed. SG is an active utility that sits in the system tray and prevents spyware from being installed. Again, they are complementary to one another - use both and keep definitions updated

Visit Windows Update regularly and be sure to install all Critical Security Patches

Will a format and clean sweep install fix this Annoying Blue screen

im off to bed right now hopefully in the morn ill have some reasonable answers

PS ive used the registry fix program it fixed most but 3 probs and even when it says that it fixed the prob their still there the next time i run the registryFix

BSOD = Blue Screen of Death. A one week old computer should not be exhibiting problems usually seen in much older cpu’s. Hope it is still under warranty. Complain vociferously to the vendor.
