BSOD = Blue Screen of Death. A one week old computer should not be exhibiting problems usually seen in much older cpu's. Hope it is still under warranty. Complain vociferously to the vendor.

If you are getting a BSOD and its cased by Kernal errors then a Full Format in NTFS (Full not quick) & Clean install of windows should fix the problem you are having with the Kernal
