At first I was getting that my systyem was corrupted and that I needed to do a registry clean up. Now I keep getting these messages that are Spam Pop Ups that have to do with everything possible! The pop ups arent the normal pop ups. They are on a window that says messenger service at the top. Any advice would be Appreciated! Thanks! I do have a pop up blocker on my tool bar which isnt working for these types of pop ups.

Download this free program and run it, you'll clean your system of any and all spyware.

Try using Firefox or Opera instead of Internet Explorer, it will block the majority of pop ups. Just google it to download

my computer did that until i downloaded firefox so you should probably uninstall your browser and re install it. it's attached to your browser so uninstalling it will delete it. i never get pop ups because i use a different browser. deleting it should work. hope i helped. =]

THat's Messenger Service which was intended for Corporate clients. Unfortunately it is also used for spamming people. Disabling instructions below direct from Microsoft.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/security/learnmore/stopspam.mspx

After the instructions, you really need to run a good cleanup.

Those that can type faster will, no doubt, provide you with AVG Antispyware, Spybot S&D and Adaware, all great programs and run them first and reboot.

Afterwards, a great free program to have that uses virtually zero resources is SpyWareBlaster. It helps blocking crapware before it installs.

Sounds like you may have an older version or (un-updated) of Windows (pre XP SP2). These type of popups often exploit the Messenger Service in your Windows OS, which after XP SP2 is disabled by default.

Do these popups say "Messenger Service" in the title bar at times?

A popup blocker "thingy" will be of no help in this case.

You have 3 choices to end the problem.

1. You can disable and stop Messenger Service by typing "services msc." (without the(""s) into your Run Box and disabling and stopping Messenger Service.

OR

2. You can use the free utility called Shoot The Messenger to automatically disable this unnecessary service.

Please note that Windows Messenger Service is not the same as any Instant Messenger program that you may have on your computer. Disabling it will not cause you to lose any IM functionality that you may have.

OR (Best Solution)

3. Update or upgrade your operating system to at least Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2).

Good luck
