Why is my hard drive pausing every 30 secs?

It’s usually when I’m on my computer for at least an hour this starts to happen..No matter what I’m doing, be it Photoshop or surfing the net…It will start to pause in 2-5 second increments every 30 seconds or so…I’ve ran “Adaware, Spybot, and anti-virus programs….even did a registry clean on top of defragging…what gives?

Open up your task manager (ctrl+Alt+Del) choose the processes tab and look at the CPU column and try to located what is running during that time to slow your computer. There is also a program called whats running, download it and see if there is anything that shouldn’t be there.
